শেওড়াফুলি নিস্তারিণী কালিবাড়ি বহুদিন আগের কথা। এখনকার শেওড়াফুলি তখন সাড়াপুলি নামেই পরিচিত ছিল। ভাগীরথীর তীরে এই সাড়াপুলিতেই স্থাপিত হয়েছিল নিস্তারিণী কালী মায়ের মন্দির। মন্দির থেকে ভাগীরথীর দূরত্ব হাঁটাপথে মিনিট খানেক। ১৮২৭ খ্রিস্টাব্দে, বাংলা ১২৩৪ সনের জ্যৈষ্ঠ মাসের কোনও এক শুক্লা পঞ্চমী তিথিতে মন্দিরটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন শেওড়াফুলি রাজবংশের রাজা হরিশ্চন্দ্র রায়। মন্দিরের দেয়ালে পাথরের ফলকে লেখা আছে – বর্ধমান জেলার অন্তর্ভুক্ত পাটুলির দত্ত রাজবংশজাত সাড়াপুলি বা শেওড়াফুলি রাজবংশের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা “ক্ষত্রিয়রাজ” রাজা মনোহর রায়ের পুত্র রাজা রাজচন্দ্র রায় রাজচন্দ্রের প্রপৌত্র রাজা হরিশ্চন্দ্র রায় ১৮২৭ খৃঃ (১২৩৪ সালে জ্যৈষ্ঠ মাসে) গঙ্গার তীরবর্তী তাঁর নিজ রাজ্যে পঞ্চমুণ্ডী আসনে শিবপত্নী দক্ষিণকালিকা শ্রীশ্রী নিস্তারিণী মাতার পাষাণময়ী মূর্তি তথা মন্দির ও সেবা প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। উক্ত দেবসেবা ও মন্দির পরিচালনার সম্পূর্ণ তত্ত্বাবধায়ক শেওড়াফুলি রাজপরিবার। .....................................................................
